Park Fest, Center Park’s inaugural gathering took place in October 2006. The event featured a middle-school quartet, delicious delights donated by Whole Foods, and speeches before the Center Park sign was unveiled.
While the park’s eventual nature wasn’t yet visible, sufficient clearing had taken place so that the possibilities were evident.

Each year since 2008, Center Park’s birthday has been celebrated during Carlisle’s Old Home Day festivities. The park’s fourth birthday will be clebrated on July 2, 2011. There will be lively music by Jake Kerwin and his Ancient Mariners Dixieland Band who will play a two-hour concert. And there will be ice cream donated by Kimball Farm and cake from Vicki Lee of Belmont.
Isabella Stewart Gardner (Mrs. Jack) visited the park in September, 2008. In a special appearance hosted by the Carlisle Garden Club and sponsored in part by the Carlisle Cultural Council, historical interpreter Jessa Piaia presented a dramatic portrayal of America’s first patroness of the arts. A 1909 touring sedan brought Mrs. Jack to the park where she was welcomed by members of the Garden Club dressed in vintage costumes and an audience who thrilled to the tales of Boston during her day.
In September, 2010, the Carlisle Republican Committee hosted a political rally for Jonathan A. Golnik, a Carlisle resident and candidate for U. S. representative.
